Colton Rail-Trail

good trail- 23 mile round trip

Tried it for the first time, nice trail that follows the Santa Ana river. Nice and paved all the way, scenic of birds and mountains. Maybe three sections of homeless camps but nothing to worry about. I made it a little pass Rancho Jurupa Regional Park before I turned back to Colton starting point.

Rio Hondo River Trail

Sharing the trails with equestrians

these trails are awesome and full if wild life and scenery..but also be aware that you share the trails with bike riders and equestrians..please be cautious in blind spots you might be surprised who you come face to face with ...most equestrians are open to having thier horses approached but please ask first ..and be cautious around them ..

Arroyo Seco Bike Path

great commuting path

September, 2021 by 1raulc

Just moved to Lincoln Heights and love this path. I use it to bike to work in South Pas. The path is quite clean! I bike in the morning and in evening after work. I usually see at least 1 or 2 other people biking, and a handful more at the northern end of the trail--esp. runners. There are some homeless camps. I probably wouldn't ride this path after dusk.

Tracks at Brea Trail

first Time

September, 2021 by jtjosh

I started at the Brea Skate Park then ride the trail all the way to the end of the track at Valencia St. I did it on a Thursday 4:00 pm and found the track beautiful and clean but hardly any bikers around most likely because it's weekday. I will definitely try this again on a weekend. The only downside of the track is there are too many stops, no underpass to cross some major streets. In the beginning, there is a 15 to 25 steps stairway with bike channel to hold your bike alongside with you. Overall it's an awesome track, very easy to use.

Chandler Bikeway

love the trail, watch out for stupid people

One side is for bicycles, the other side for pedestrians. The pedestrians seem to wander all over the place. Point out the signs and they yell at you. very disappointing, have to dodge people all the time. Stay in your lane seems simple...

Marvin Braude Bike Trail

Great bike trails with a lot of ins and outs. Lots of people to look at. Lots of shops. Plenty of restrooms and diners. Good for all day rides.

Bellflower Bike Trail

At multiple points the trail crosses traffic. Since the crosswalks are narrow and have bumpy ramps, it is pretty easy to miss the ramp back onto the trail. I did so after the second or third crossing and ended up twisting my knee.

Arroyo Seco Bike Path

Dirty

It's just an ok path, but what makes it bad is there are lots of homeless and they put their carts and trash in the middle of the path. 2 stars only because it has the potential to be good if it was cleaned up.

Bonita Canyon Trail

Bonita Creek Trail

Transients now live in wooded creek bed. They leave feces, broken bottles, cigarette butts and trash in and around the trail. I've seen copious amounts of graffiti on the trail and in the flood control wash. It would be great if the NEWPORT Police Department would patrol the trails once in a while. Newport city should clean up the graffiti and trash.

Upper Bay Trail

you can circumnavigate the entire Back Bay trail

You can continue beyond this mapped trail to use the trail on both the north- and south-side of the Back Bay trail and related / co-joined trails and use the sidewalk on the PCH to then join other trails and the cliff-top roads on the north-side to get to the Back Bay trail.

Pacific Electric Inland Empire Trail

new to biking

I really like this trail. I have only made it from Cactus to Cherry Ave. But it seems like a safe and easy ride so far. You'll see some homeless people peppered throughout Fontana area but in all there are a lot of people walking, running and biking.
